What was the initial appeal of Dream Drive?

I was drawn to the unique challenge of a company that manufactures and sells high-quality campervans in a location close to the city center.

When I visited the company, I was taken on a tour, which made it easier to visualize the nature of the work and the working environment. The craftsmanship involved in furniture production is highly advanced and demands precision and diligence. The opportunity to grow alongside the company was an opportunity that I could not pass on.

What made you decide to join Dream Drive?

At Dream Drive, bi-weekly team meetings provide us with valuable time to share updates, discuss challenges, and set goals across different departments. This creates an environment where we can take pride in our dedication to our respective roles, inspire each other, and feel a sense of accomplishment.

These meetings allow us to tangibly experience steady progress, which in turn boosts motivation. Unlike my previous experiences where such meeting times were absent, this is quite refreshing and provides a positive energy to daily tasks.

How do you feel about working at Dream Drive?

The process of campervan manufacturing relies heavily on the collaboration of team members with specialised skills. At Dream Drive, members engage in discussions and problem-solving from their respective professional perspectives to create a more comfortable campervan. As a hands-on maker, I appreciate the environment where my opinions are respected and where I can enhance my problem-solving abilities. This nurturing atmosphere for growth, where ideas are implemented into tangible results is fulfilling, especially when witnessing the final realisation of a completed campervan.

What is the most interesting aspect of your responsibilities?

Furniture crafting is a job that allows me to experience the true essence of creating something. The process of cutting and assembling wood demands concentration and precision. I find the fascination and satisfaction in the meticulous finishing of furniture, honing woodworking and processing techniques to create pieces that contribute to our customers' more comfortable van life. The rewarding aspect of furniture production lies in the ability to receive compliments from customers who have actually used the completed campervans. It's a gratifying feeling to realise that my work is bringing value to people.

What are your future challenges?

I'm determined to improving my skills in crafting furniture, while also harnessing the precision and efficiency of CNC automated machinery for more accurate and streamlined furniture production. Additionally, within the team, I have taken on the responsibility of guiding new members in understanding the process of furniture making comprehensively. Looking ahead, my goal is not only to contribute to team development, but also to enhance my skills as a member who can propose innovative furniture designs for campervans and improve production speed through creative manufacturing methods.
